Evan Spiegel compares Facebook with Yahoo copying Google!
During Snapchat’s first earnings call as a public company, Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel was asked by an analyst about his feelings for Facebook blatantly copying it’s stories feature, and if he is afraid of it.
Spiegel made an audible laugh and replied to the analyst, “You have to get comfortable with and enjoy the fact that someone is going to copy you if you make great stuff.”
“We believe that everyone is going to develop a camera strategy,” Spiegel continued.
He continued to explain and took his rivalry back to the early days when Yahoo and Google used to compete.
Spiegel ended his reply to the question with an epic burn by adding, “At the end of the day, just because Yahoo has a search box, it doesn’t mean they’re Google.”
